Happy New Year!

“This is what the LORD says— he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.” (Isaiah 43:16, 18-19)

Made it to Miami

It took 12 hours to reach our destination, but we made it. Hoping to have a very happy New Year!

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)

Bye, Bye, Bye...

I saw my old Honda today... all nicely fixed up... new front tires, upholstered door panels.

We're headed to Miami in a few hours, I still have not packed. I have five loads of clothes to wash... two of the kids and three of mine. Why do I always wait until the last minute?

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” (John 14:1-3)

Daniel's Fast Coming up!

My husband and I will be starting a Daniel's fast next month for 21 days. Pray for us!

Gone After-Christmas Shopping

I really need to write down things that I'm believing God for in 2006.

“Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying: "Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you now dismiss your servant in peace. For my eyes have seen your salvation, which you have prepared in the sight of all people, a light for revelation to the Gentiles and for glory to your people Israel.” (Luke 2:28-32)

Happy Birthday Jesus!

The kids had a wonderful Christmas!!! We now have the following added to our toy collection: a full-size Air Hockey table, two plug and play Dora games, one plug and play SpongeBob game, one plug and play Spiderman game, an indoor/outdoor basketball goal, baby dolls, Dora paint soap, Batman soap and basketball bath set, Motorola Razr cellphone (that one's mine), twin sized Princess bed sheets, remote control car, headphones for the minivan (as I will be using the OEM wireless phones as backups), Polar Express & Shark Tales dvds, perfume, socks, shirts & ties, golf balls, AMC movies gift certificate, earrings, lotion, and I think that may be it...

I finally found the perfect television show for myself!!!! And WHY am I just finding out about it??? It's been on television since September (according to this write-up I found on it)! It's USA Network's "Made In The USA." FINALLY... a show for aspiring inventors trying to market their products. I happen to find it by my office televison being on HSN, and they were having a Made in the USA marathon. I looked on the USA website and saw that congratulations are in order for Chris Spencer & Sammy Davis of the Hydromax System. Oh, while I was checking it out, I can't believe that Chris actually put his real cell number (that he's had for years) on the company website.

For more information contact us at:

Chris Spencer

cspencer@hydromaxsystem.com

Carl Henderson

chenderson@hydromaxsystem.com

Okay, okay... he is supposed to put a real number, but not a number that he's used for other marketing ventures (research revealed he is or was also in the club business which uses his same cell number)...how do you know how to answer the phone? Do you really want to answer all your calls? Would it be a good idea to just give out a voicemail number? Whatever. I'm getting too much into their business, when I have enough business of my own.

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)

A Week's Update

Monday-Can't Recall Much-Just busy as a bee at work. Work, work, work. I'm sure that's not what life's about... at least not working for other people. At least I enjoy what I do, but i know that I will enjoy what I do even more, next year.
Tuesday-Lai & Daddy are sick at home today, Zach didn't go to school because Dad is his ride. Mom got sick after work.
Wednesday-At home sick. Not enjoying being sick, stomach virus and muscle aches. Sleep all day and have no problem waking up and going back to sleep. Church came to get my car (my baby) today! A very bitter sweet moment. Drugged up and went to 7 o'clock service... guest speaker, some guy from the local newschannel here... very good speaker... speaks about holding on to God's Word. Spoke to SK, he introduced me to the six-page magazine that they have created... wants me to help...I'm honored... I'm ready! This has my name written all over it!
Thursday-back to work, feeling better.
Friday-(Today)-In the streets, not shopping, just adding to the hustling and bustling crowds.

“Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.” (Luke 2:11-14)

Sunday, December 18, 2005

“Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, because he has come and has redeemed his people. He has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David (as he said through his holy prophets of long ago),” (Luke 1:68-70)

Saturday, December 17, 2005

“But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:20-21)

Friday, December 16, 2005

“And Mary said: "My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for the Mighty One has done great things for me— holy is his name.” (Luke 1:46-47, 49)

My Meeting With Pastor Scott

I had a meeting with PS today. It was unlike anything that I would have ever thought... I was going in thinking we were going to talk more about the Christian comedians and such, but he shared with me more of the direction that he would like to take CYP in, and that God has placed us on his mind to be his helpers. How cool is that? I say that because, every time I think of ideas for the church, they are always ideas geared toward the young professionals, hot, refreshing, innovative ideas for the young and open-minded. Well I guess this is the area God wants me to be, and I'm excited to be there!

“But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end.” (Luke 1:30-33)

How Do You Tell Someone Close To You That They May Need Deliverance?

Learning how demonic spirits enter people.

“In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.” (Luke 1:26-28)

Monday, December 12, 2005

“But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons.” (Galatians 4:4-5)

Sunday, December 11, 2005

“Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.” (Isaiah 7:14)

The Most Awesome Thing Happened Today!

It was Thursday or Friday that I prayed to God... this is what I said: "Lord, you know that it was difficult this year for me to get this degree in Theology. I have papers to write every month, I have to read different books every month, I have a full-time job, two kids and a husband (both of which have their needs) and I don't know if I should go back to school to finish getting my Bachelor's degree. If you want me to go, send me just one red rose."

Fast-Forward To Today
My co-worker brought her daughter Kallie (about 12 years old) to work so they can take the afternoon off to go shopping. Well Kallie was going around the office saying "Hi" to people. She went to say 'hello' to one of the ladies, Lisa, who was busy getting ready for a meeting. Lisa said that she didn't want to appear sharp to Kallie, so she quickly asked God, how can I handle this. She then told Kallie, that she was really busy, but she can take a flower from her vase. Kallie said she didn't want it, but Lisa insisted. Lisa had a beautiful bouquet of red carnations and roses, she clipped Kallie a rose and gave it to her. Kallie then, came straight to my office and gave it to me! I gasped and had to fight back tears... saying "Is that for me?" I was basically freaked out and told her and her mom the story. I also shared the story with Lisa, and that's how I found out how Kallie got the rose. I told Lisa, that was confirmation for her also, that she did the right thing!

I want to tell the world... "Thank You Lord!"

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.” (John 15:5,8)

Advanced Associate's In Theology!

“Therefore Jesus said again, "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. ” (John 10:7, 9-10)

Advanced Associate's Degree!

I found out that I have 56 credits that transferred over to bible college, so I qualify to get my Advanced Associate's Degree. I have 86 credits now, too much for an AA and 34 credits too little for a Bachelor's. So I guess that means, I can stick Bible College out one more year and get my Bachelor's of Theology!

“But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. Gash In The Van >> Oh No!

Okay, yesterday when they dropped the van off, I slightly noticed a few black marks on the front bumper. I thought it was leaves and bugs... until this morning, upon closer inspection. It's a gash! Oh Lord... I called the inventory manager, and the local middleman here and left messages on both their voice mails. I also called the guy (Mr. Tim Hardy) who helped deliver the vehilcle and explained to him that I don't believe it came from them driving it to me, I believe it came from when they unloaded it off the truck. He assured me that they would take care of it and to call them in the morning. He is such a sweet guy. Good people definitely know good people.

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.” (Colossians 3:16)

God Is Good!

My Minivan has arrived! Ain't God Good! Yes, He is!

There were two guys that drove it to me, one of them (Tim Hardy) was very nice. He's about 65 or so, and when we were talking, he said that I was a genuinely good person, and he didn't meet a lot of good people in his business. He said he sold cars for over 35 years, and now he was just helping to deliver them. Of course I thanked him for the compliment, but was astonished at the same time. He said that most people get the keys and do things short of shooing them off. I can't believe that people would be so rude and mean acting... I've only been talking with him for about 10 minutes before he made the compliment. Can't mean people put on a front for 10 minutes to at least make people like Mr. Hardy think that there are more good people on this earth?! Whatever.

He asked what I was going to do with the Honda, and I told him that I was going to donate it to my church. He smiled and said that God was going to give me huge blessings and that I was one in a million! Now, that made me feel good!

“Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe,” (Hebrews 12:28)

5 :30 am >> On My Way To Best Buy

11 am >> I'm back. Best Buy's checkout line was wrapped around the entire store! Luckily, it went fast, so it was only a 20 minute wait. I only bought three DVD's: The Wiz (replacing the one my son threw in the trash), Honey (I never seen it or heard how good or bad it was), and Minority Report. Not bad for $3.99 each, huh? They were out of Shark Tales, but my kids aunt said she got it for them at Wal-mart for $3.44. Good deal!!! Is it really worth standing in line for 20 minutes of your time? Is it really worth driving from one store to the next, fighting traffic? Is it really worth getting up at 4 and 5 in the morning? I don't know... is your time, money?

“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” (Colossians 3:17)

Hello,
Remember Wish Lists? As kids, we sweated bullets over filling our lists with stuff we might actually have some hope of receiving, and stuff our friends and family would never buy us. Well, I was visiting the Amazon.com site, and started my own Wish List. Check it out and let me know what you think!

Waiting For The Family Van
The guy with Toyota said that the van should be here Tuesday or Wednesday. Well today is Wednesday, and I won't know if it'll be here today until 4 pm or so. Should I still get in it and go home for Thanksgiving? We'll see how it works out.

Knowing When Your Purse Is Going To Be Stolen!

The dynamics of knowing that your purse is about to get stolen:

Tuesday - Met a lady nice woman named Tysha (in my sign language class), she was sharing her identity theft stories with me. Not sure how we got on the subject.
Wednesday - Had a conversation with my mother about my her turning in a lost purse. (don't quite remember how we got on that subject).
Friday - I called my credit card company to inquire about blank checks they have been sending me. He tries to sell me additional insurance on my credit card, says I won't regret it.
Saturday - Accidentally leave doors unlock in car with purse very visible on front passenger's seat. Everything's okay though.
Sunday Day - In service and being that I sit on the front row, I'm very susceptible to many things coming from the Pastor. I wasn't quite prepared for the pop in the face while he was talking. (Yeah, picture that). Anyway, he was talking about giving and I was putting my purse down from getting money out of it and he apologizes and hands me the purse (thinking I was bending over to get it). Anyway, that's besides the point... it's the fact that the purse played a role.
Sunday Night - Purse stolen as a result of car being broke into.

Crazy.

I prayed that God would bless the people that broke into my car. I prayed that whatever addictions they may have, whether it's a drug addiction or just a thieving addiction, I prayed that God will see them through it and let them know that their life is better than what they're doing.

“I always thank God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. For in him you have been enriched in every way—in all your speaking and in all your knowledge—” (1 Corinthians 1:4-5)

Got My Purse Stolen Today!

Raining.
Parked at Church.
Under Parking Light.
Car Locked.
Purse COVERED with a jacket, behind passenger's seat.
1.5 hours later.
Notice Glove Compartment OPEN.
Feel for purse.
MISSING.
Notice ALL CHANGE GONE in car.
Call Police.
WAIT 2.5 hours.
Make statement.
Feeling VERY violated!!!!
Very THANKFUL they didn't break glass to get into my car, OR take the car for that matter.
They popped the glass off the track with a flathead screwdriver.
Had the car 11 years, never broken in to, until today.

I'm learning that banks aren't that friendly when it comes to reporting stolen cards and checks on a Sunday evening.

Life Is Only For A Moment!

My mother's birthday is coming up and while I was praying for her, the thought came, "Life is only for a moment. It's time to stop doing things for yourself, and start doing things for the Lord."

“Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—comes not from the Father but from the world.” (1 John 2:15-16)

APAREY

I went on a field trip to the fair with Laila and her school this morning, and I'll sum it up to say... I won't be going again until they put the small kids on rides! I'm sure that won't be happening any time soon. Can you imagine the problems they would have with kids being scared and vomiting on rides. Okay, so that was a little gross.... but it was the truth! So instead of what I thought (rides, rides, and more rides), it turned out to be watching dancing pigs and racing hogs! What in the world.

So this morning, I'm cleaning my room and I see drawings from Laila the night before. She shows me five sheets of paper, all with different drawings. One-SpongeBob & Patrick (with her name and her brother's name written on it), one with four people on it (she said this is her family), one with six people on there (she said those were her cousins), and one with a strange shawdowy-type figure (it looks like someone leaning on a street light or something) with the word "APAREY" written at the top. I asked her what is was, and just as strange as the word was on the top, a strange word came out her mouth. It sounded very much like she was making up the word to explain what this drawing was. So anyway, curious, I get on the Internet and type in the word. It means "others" when you're talking about spirits.

Went To FAMU's Homecoming Parade

Laila Took This Picture of The Band

They're coming Closer

Why do my kids look like they're scared of the camera?

Dad & Daughter Look On

Then the kids got bored of all the bands, and decided to have their own fun by running to and from a door. I don't know, I'm not a kid.

Then other kids thought that would be fun too, and joined them. Go figure.

Zachary then decides to walk his dads press pass.

He wants to make sure it never needs walking again!

Then Mr & Ms. FAMU & Their Court come around and break down.

Yup... it's broken!

And off they go in those Stiletto's.

Another Beautiful Day!

Last night in church, my pastor talked about the keys to negotiating. Wow, what valuable information it was! He talked about the book of Joshua where Rahab hides the two spies and then puts in her request for them to save her family. He broke down how her negotiating skills played a role and how we need to learn to negotiate, especially when God tells us that something is ours. He used some examples on getting a job and a better salary offer… I’ll be sure to use that on him. LOL.

Okay, so it’s 11:30 am and I haven’t heard back from my Toyota friend in O-town on an OTD price. I’m going to give him until 2:30 then I’m calling him J. I have a strange anxiousness about this. I don’t know why, because I know I’ll have the 10K to put down and I know that he’ll offer me a fair price, and I also know that regardless, I need a minivan. I guess the idea of having a new vehicle after 11 years is exciting! That’s it. I’ll get back to you with a price.
Oh did I tell you that after emptying out me and my kids piggy banks, we have a final count of $1100!

4:30 pm Update: I spoke with my guy at Toyota. He's going to give me an XLE limted with Package#3 (highest package on the Limited) for $37K. With their $600 dealer fee (or what they call the service & handling fee) plus $200 tag fee and tax, my final price is $40,126.11. Okay... I don't know about you, but $40K for a minivan, I would typically say "Heck No," but for some really strange reason, I feel okay with it. Like... do I have a total concept of what 40,000 dollars is? Or is it that I'm really okay with this?

“Write It Down.”

Okay… I felt this was going to happen, so when I prayed on it, the Lord told me to “write it down.” I’m certain I’m writing this down to benefit me and those that read it. So anyway, back to the neighbor borrowing our truck and not putting gas in it. The husband of the neighbor came over yesterday and gave us a new tent. My husband was saying that it was a blessing because he was going to have to buy one anyway, so this came right on time. I knew with all my heart that this was God blessing us for me not saying anything from my mouth. After all, I was one of the people in the church when God was telling Pastor that He was trying to bless people for the past two years and we have been cursing our blessings with the words that were coming out of our mouths. God told me to instead write it down, say nothing, and wait.

I have been thinking for a few months of all the blessings that people have been missing out on because their mouth, faith and actions have aborted God’s plan for them. I was listening to Tony Evans yesterday and he said “wouldn’t it be interesting that if when we dies, God showed us not the tape of our lives, but a tape of the life we could have lived if we listened to God.” That’s where I’m at in my life right now. Not trying to live the ‘good life’ but trying to live the “God life.’

My Problem With People

Retro Thought --- A few weeks back, we had a party for Zach who was turning two, so I invited the children that were his age over to the house along with his cousins. My husband feels bad that the neighbors (big kids) next door and the neighbors across the street were not invited, so he goes and tells their parents that if they want, they can bring the kids over. So the neighbor across the street sends their two kids (by themselves) and the neighbor next door sends their four kids (by themselves). The kids come, stay for a few hours, eat, drink, and are merry. We send the kids home, and not one parent came to thank us for inviting them. I just think something is wrong there. If you, as a parent, send your child to someone else's house where they are being watched, fed and having fun; as a parent, you should be thankful enough to thank the people of that house >>that was less that you had to do with your kids for those few hours. Where's the parental etiquette? I don't know, am I being unrealistic?

So anyway, one of my neighbors car wouldn't start this morning; so being that my husband has his mother's car who is recovering from surgery, he offers to let them drive his truck. The neighbor returns the truck after a full workday of dropping off & picking up the kids to/from school and working; and brings me the keys and tells me that they didn't have time to get gas and to tell my husband to come over to get the gas money. What is that about? How don't you have time to get gas when your only transportation is our truck, and now you're home for the day? And why won't you just hand me the gas money along with the keys? What does my husband look like going to your house to ask for gas money? That's strange to me. Where's the thankful neighbor etiquette?

When you use someone's vehicle, you are supposed to put some gas in it at the very time you have it, whether by cash, debit or credit, but by no means are you to return it 'less than.' That gives people the impression like you feel like they "owe you something" and you're "not as thankful" as your mouth is saying you are.

God Plants Desires In You

You can begin to feel when God is preparing to take you to the next level in your life, because He places His desires in you. Perfect Example: I am beginning to have the desire to do lite travelling (perhaps once quarterly), and I'm desiring to talk to people (groups and one-to-one).

Subject Changed...

Last night Laila helped me to make "Loaded Spaghetti." That's when the sauce is the meal! It was fabulous!

Thank you Laila!

Thank you Lord for bringing my husband back home safely from the Million More Movement. He went there to cover a story for the newspaper.

Oh, the kids were off from school Friday (Teacher’s Workday). It was ‘wild’ from 9am to noon, and ‘very peaceful’ from 12:01 pm to 3pm!!! This picture will give you an idea why!!!!

After their nap, we went to visit a friend, Mrs. Margaret. Here's the pic.

There's a Strange Peace...

About this whole Sienna buying thing... or am I just feeling a little too spiritual? It feels like I'm playing chess with someone and we're both great competitors and I can make a few moves to keep the game going, but just then God strikes confusion on both of us and makes moves for me to win the game. Whatever... it's that feeling.

Went To A Toyota Dealer

So I’ve been doing all of this negotiating over the phone and over the Internet with Southeast Toyota Dealerships and I haven’t even gone to the local dealership. Mainly because I figured we are not in a metropolitan city and they are not getting the deals that others are getting. So I decided to go to the local dealership to pick out my exterior color (between the salsa red and the white). Of course they don’t have any 2006s on the lot, but I see a white 2005 and it looks good enough. For kicks I test-drive it and go inside to negotiate. I talk to the salesman and tell him what I’ve been doing and that I have plans to purchase in Orlando unless they can match or beat it. He gets a sales manager, (John B.) and of course he tells me that he would like me to buy from him and he’ll match the lowest price I can get. Huuumm… he even wrote it on the invoice “I’ll beat their deal -JB”. He said all I have to do is get a ‘Buyers Order’ signed by a manager (not some salesman ß his exact words) and he’ll beat it. Hey…. So here I go.

Laila Made A Carrot Cake!

Last night Laila & I made a carrot cake... it was the best carrot cake I ever made! It was so light and fluffy and deeeee-licious! Mostly due to all the TLC that went into making it. Laila was such a joy in the kitchen, she helped me crush the walnuts, shred the carrots, mix the cake batter and even made the cream cheese frosting :) She enjoyed it just as much as I did. BTW, this was her first time helping her mommy in the kitchen :) But it won't be her last.

That was the wrong package

Okay, so the guy from Florida calls me and says that he misquoted me the for the XLE Limited Package 3, the $33,605 for the Package 2... which means no navigational system. I don't need one, but I sure want one. I believe the actual price he said was $36,900... So I'm going to go back to the XLE package 8. This is what the TMV report shows:

The best price I got for it was $33,300. So we'll see what I can get it for.

“I, even I, am the LORD, and apart from me there is no savior. I have revealed and saved and proclaimed— I, and not some foreign god among you. You are my witnesses," declares the LORD, "that I am God.” (Isaiah 43:11-12)

When am I going to share my minivan hunting story?

I had been actively emailing dealers from the tri-state areas to see what’s the best deal I can get. If you have a chance, please check out this Edmunds forum, it’s the best. So in Georgia, I found a guy who is pretty competitive with his prices. At the time I was looking for a 2006 Toyota Sienna XLE, package 8 which comes with all the bells and whistles of the DVD & Navigation system, sun/moonroof, heated passenger’s seat, 4 disc in-dash player, 2 wireless headphones, etc). Well all of this was for $33,300. The guy even included ToyoGuard Plus & mats (is TG a big deal?). What's ToyoGuard? Well now, I’ve contacted a guy my sister used to date in Florida and he offered me the top of the line XLE Limited package 3 for $33,600 (plus TTL). Now I’m not sure if that’s an out-the-door price or what, but when I contacted the other dealers I was negotiating with, it got really ugly. One guy in Miami was yelling at me. What’s that about?

Anyway...
I did my homework is this is what I found that the same vehicle is going for:

Now... let's just look at the invoice side and deduct the Destination Charge, then we are left with $35,485. That's where I'm negotitating from! The XLE Limited is $6K higher than the XLE, so to only pay $1K more is a great deal! I attempted to tell my husband all of this stuff and he just said that I was speaking Chinese to him. He said that I was a good enough negotiator that he trusts my final decision. Awww, that's so great. Now that I think about it, I should have negotiated for his truck in 2000 when he bought it. I thank God it's finally paid for, as of last month! Whew-whooo.

Morning BreakThrough

This morning as I was praying, I received my breakthrough. I received the finalized answer from God in which I had been asking Him what was going on in my Spirit that needed to be addressed.

He answered.

Just as He had been for the past few years. The only difference is that I was seeking the answer with a listening ear.

Inner Healing Class

Last night I was in an Inner Healing class. This is the last class that I'm required to take before I am officially a part of the Healing Ministry. Dr. SL talked about the different childhood traumas that lock into people's minds and prevents them from moving forward in life because of the unforgiveness. It was very interesting.

[side note: well i guess i'm moving forward the way God wants me to.]

God Delivers!

This morning on my way to work, I was driving in the right lane...knowing that I need to be in the left lane to get on the interstate. Man, traffic was so bumper-to-bumper that there was no possible way for me to squeeze in front of someone. At least no possible way ‘in my power.’ So I turned off the radio and said, “Okay God, I need you right now. I need you to make a way for me to get over so I don’t miss my turn.” And I’ll be darned, if it wasn’t less than five seconds later when a man in the left lane, driving an SUV stopped at the green light that everyone in the left lane, kissing bumpers, had been waiting so eagerly for. STOP… Let me see if I can explain this correctly. The guy in the SUV, stopped at our green light to let oncoming traffic make their turn. Never mind the fact that there is a green light, and he needed to proceed on because of the angry mob behind him waiting to go. So picture him in the left lane and me in the right lane (2nd person behind a truck), both lanes needing to cross the light. The SUV is letting about two or three cars turn in front of him and now the light is turning yellow. The truck in front of me pulls off and I pull off too! By the SUV letting people cross in front of him, gave me more than enough room to cross in front of him to the left lane when the light turned yellow. I was just driving and praising God for that one, because I was sooo not picturing things happening that way. But that just reminded me not to put God in a box, because what may be our way of doing something, is not necessarily His way of doing something.

I hope you understood the story.

Bush was on a month long vacation and was forced to cut it short to tend to the Hurricane Katrina Catastrophe!

People are in Louisiana, Mississippi & Alabama are starving & dying and Bush didn't want to cut his vacation short! What's wrong with this picture?

"The abrupt decision to return to Washington represented a turnabout of sorts for a president who for weeks ignored criticism that such a long summer break -- the longest stretch away from Washington of any president in decades -- appeared unseemly at a time when U.S. forces are at war in Iraq."

The Prince of The Air

This is why we must watch what we say. Imagine the devil and his angels, and God and his angels hanging around you waiting to see if you speak positively about a situation (or test) that you are in, or if you speak negatively. And whichever you speak, you give glory to that particular side of angels. Your words feed them, which in turn helps them to take over that particular part of your life. Maybe I need to rephrase that to make it more understandable... BBL

Obeying God

Last night I was studying for my Biblical Finances class and as I was reading over ‘giving to people’ I felt in my spirit the Lord wanting me to give $20 cash, to someone at my job. I immediately agreed and then I messed up and thought about it. Here’s what I was thinking: We all get paid at work tomorrow, he’ll already have money; he doesn’t seem like he’s in need of something as small as $20; well I don’t have $20 cash, I only have $15 on me. All of those thoughts, to me were valid excuses; but then I thought, how many people make excuses when God tells them to do something and miss out on their own blessings? Anyway, the questions were only raised for about two minutes, when I made up in my heart that I was going to be silent and obey the Lord. I then asked him how should I give this guy the money; in an envelope, in his hand, how? God said in an envelope with a note, so then of course my next question was what do I put on the paper? I didn’t get an answer on that until the next morning driving to work, to which it was “Jesus Love You. He Cares.” I asked my husband for $5, added it to my $15 and did what I was supposed to do.

I left the envelope in an area around the guys work space where he would see it. He came to me a few hours later and thanked me and said that when he opened it, he had to hold back tears.

ATTITUDE

Last month Pastor Tony Evans was talking about our attitude toward our situations.

Last week's Wednesday night service was about our attitude toward our situations.

Last night's church service was a continuation of our attitude toward our situations.

This morning, Joyce Meyer was talking about our attitude toward our situations.

Is this what God wants me to work on, or do Pastor's read the same HOT TOPIC of the month bulletin board?

Either way... I still need to learn to work on my our attitude toward my natural situations.

My Daily Confession

Here are some things that apply to me from a book that CBCS is reading called, "Favor. The Road To Success. How to receive special favor with God and people" by Bob Buess. I have to learn to renew my mind with God's spirit truth concerning favor with God and with man. My words are spirit. Jesus said that His words were spirit and life. (John 6:63). These spirit words have authority over the natural world.

My Confession: "God favors me today. I am a success today. I have God's special favor upon me today. He makes His face to shine upon me today. He is gracious to me today. I am someone very special with the Lord." Up to page 15.

I Have To Step Up

I'm in trouble now! I have to step up to the plate now. One of the main things that I felt the Lord had been dealing with me on is "the words I speak." For instance, true story: We pay $1,000 a month for my children to go to school and I have a problem with the school system here for that. We would pay it out of obligation, but NOT be happy about it. By saying things like... "do you know what I could do with a thousand dollars;" or "a thousand dollars is like paying for another house;" or "I can't wait until the kids get into elementary school so we don't have to pay that much money anymore," I'm cursing my blessings. I need to praise the Lord in all situations (especially the financial ones) and say things like: "I'm paying out the pocket for now, but the Lord is going to take control of this;" or "The Lord is my provider and He is going to give me and my husband great favor in our jobs to overcome this;" or "The Lord is going to give us so more favor and blessings."

Past Blog Writings On My Faith in January
Past Blog Writings On My Faith in March

Okay, so I'm sitting in church and towards the end, my Pastor says that there's a few of us sitting here right now that are cursing or blessings. The Lord wants to bless us and we're right there at the breakthough, but we keep failing the test of faith in our finances by looking at the natural and not having faith enough to trust Him. "I'm one of the guilty." So from this day for 90 days, I'm going to put in so much effort to not look at the natural and just praise God as my provider. And I ain't playin'.

What I Wore

Okay, so last night I had a dream about wearing my black slacks and my earthtone shirt, so that's what I wore.

The Lord God is waiting to show how kind he is and to have pity on you. The LORD always does right; he blesses those who trust him. (Isaiah 30:18)

I Told God...

I told God that I don't hear Him when He talks to me, and we need to have some practice sessions; so I asked God what He wanted me to wear tomorrow... I'll wait for His answer.

I thought that was a good place to start.

I Believe I Found The Answer

I was in the last day of a bible study class this morning "How To Pray For Physical Healing," and it hit me that the thing I am fearful of, is "success." It sounds a little strange, but when I think about it, I'm not afraid of what people would think about me, I'm not afraid of telling people what God needs me to tell them... I'm afraid of success of the unknown. I don't exactly know why. I'm thinking it's because doing God's work is going to be so new for me and I feel in my spirit that where I'm about to go, is exactly where God wants to place me. So if this makes sense, I'm scared to take those few steps out of my 10 mph "planning, gathering knowledge and storing information only to us a little here and a little there" and move forward 90 mph with what God has plans with me for.

Tender Heart

In my Prophetic Prayer with Toka, The Lord told her that the gift he has given me was prophecy, which is 99% encouragement to people. She explained that there is a difference between have a gift of prophecy and being a prophet. The Lord also told her that I had a tender heart, which was perfect for getting the Word out to His people the way He wanted.
She also prayed that the walls of fear would be broken so that He can pour into me.

BreakThrough

I was at a church conference tonight praying that God tells me what is blocking me from walking in His will for what He wants me to do and a church member, Ralph, came to speak to me and asked if I could hear God, I told him I couldn't. He told me to tell God that I can't hear him, then he asked me if I knew my gifts, I told him I didn't. He told me of the many gifts God has given me, prophecy is the most prominent. He told me that there was fear in my heart that was preventing me from hearing God the way I needed.

What am I fearful of?

Thank you Lord for answering my prayer.

This is what the LORD says, he who made the earth, the LORD who formed it and established it—the LORD is his name: 'Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:2-3)

Read Your Bible More Girl

For the past three days or so, I've been feeling like God is sending me little messages again. Whereas for the past two months, I felt He hasn't been. Anyway, He's back where He left off:

"Read Your Bible More Girl."

Seeing A Bud

I noticed on my paycheck that 12 hours were not deducted from my vacation time, so guess what? ............................................................................................. yup, I stepped up to the plate and told the HR director that I needed 12 hours deducted. And I felt good about it. Believe me, a few years ago I probably wouldn't have. It's in little ways like this, that I see myself really growing in Christ. :)

There's A Stillness

For about two weeks now, I've been feeling a particular way that I can't explain in my spirit, and now I figured it out.... there's a stillness.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.”
