Three Days Left!

OMGoodness...three days left before my children have one of the best days ever for 2008! If Christmas was anything like it was last year, they will wake up around 9am! I'm sure though, that the older they get, the earlier and earlier they will wake up. I better enjoy this Christmas sleep-in moment now, while I still can. ;)

Also, I didn't get past four cups of water per day during the weekend. Hopefully I will do better during this week.

I reposted a slightly edited version of Zachary reading the book "Gallop!" on YouTube. It's so entertaining to me...here it is:

I love my kids so much I just want to install a video camera on my head so I can record those great moments. LOL.

“And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:8-11)

Four Day Until Christmas! OMGoodness...

“While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.” (Luke 2:6-7)

I need more water!

To drink more water...that is. The whole day, I can only account for consuming two cups of water.

“ In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child.” (Luke 2:1, 4-5)

It's hard to keep up with what I put in my mouth!

With Christmas gatherings and all, it's hard to keep up with what I'm eating. Boy...I'm feeling bigger. Let me get on the scale.

“And you, my child, will be called a prophet of the Most High; for you will go on before the Lord to prepare the way for him, to give his people the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins, because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the rising sun will come to us from heaven” (Luke 1:76-78)

Over Most Of My Sickness

I have been sick since Friday, mostly sore throat, body aches, and a head cold (in that exact order)...and today I am 90% BETTER! It feels phenomenal to be me!

Last night I created my chicken mix to make my famous baked chicken wraps and this morning I made a batch and oh goodness...it is GOOD!

“Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, because he has come and has redeemed his people. He has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David (as he said through his holy prophets of long ago),” (Luke 1:68-70)

What Do I Eat?

I have to hold myself accountable for what I am eating!

So starting today, I am going to TRY and keep a tab of everything that I place in my mouth beginning with yesterday!

Monday:
1 cup of coffee
1 Banana
1 can of Chicken Noodle Soup (Progresso Light)[try to stay away from any Progresso if your eating soup to be healthy! Comparing it to Select, it's much higher in sodium]
1 Bag of Popcorn
4 cups of Water
1 Huge Bowl of Chicken Noodle Soup (Select Campbell's)-for dinner
2 cups of Orange Juice
1 chocolate covered macadamia nut from Hawaii (thanks Tiffany)

Tuesday (so far):
2 cups of coffee-before 10:15 am
1 Danish-10:30 a.m.
2 cups of water-10:50 am

“ And Mary said: "My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for the Mighty One has done great things for me— holy is his name.” (Luke 1:46-47, 49)

“Therefore Jesus said again, "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:7, 9-10)

The Family Went to Disney Last Week

“ When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12)

When Your Enemy Speaks...

Okay, so she's not really an enemy, however, I know that she doesn't like me!

Well she spoke to me this morning at work and I cordially spoke back. I was so surprised that she spoke, I was questioning whether or not she accidentally spoke. Either way...she spoke, so I decided at that very moment that I was going to purposely speak to all the people that I didn't care for as well as all the people that I know didn't care for me.

So that's what happened. I spoke and was nice to those folk at work. See what good choices you can make when your enemy speaks.

“Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.” (John 6:35)

Giving Bread...

Literally, I do mean giving bread!

My husband and I both bought a loaf of bread home from the grocery store on the same day. Instead of taking it back to the store for a refund, I asked God who should I give this loaf to at work, and He put a co-workers name in my spirit. So I bagged it up and brought it to work today and just told my co-worker that we had two loaves and here's one for her. She was floored when she looked at it, because it was "Nature's Own Honey Wheat." She said that is the exact brand and kind that her family eats, they don't eat any other kind! She said she was going to call her husband right now to tell her what God has done. She said, "...oh, the little things." And that was such a blessing for me today.

“In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe.” (Hebrews 1:1-2)

Can I Make a Comeback for '09?

I have slacked off so badly with this blog site, it's not even addressable! To comeback to my blog is like resurrecting the dead. But can it be done? That's the big question that is looming over my head.

If you ever see me, I want you to look hard over the top of my head, and you will notice little question marks there. Some question marks are bigger than others. One of those question marks surely belong to this blogging thing.

For as long as I can remember, I try and I try to keep some type of journal...some type of memoir of some sort to remind myself of the great things that happen in my life, whether perfect or imperfect, whether big or small, whether it's something that I think is insignificant or huge, whether it impacts my life in some form or impacts someone else's life...I think it's important to document it some way.

If I think it's so important though...why, why, oh why...am I not consistent with keeping this darn journal?
