“For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.” (1 Thessalonians 4:16,17)

Super Sunday<-- I Have To Study My Bible!

Here is a picture that I took yesterday of my baby boy escaping from his playpen.

“But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD's love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children's children- with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts.” (Psalm 103:17,18)

Specific Prayers

I have decided from this day forth to be much more specific when I'm praying. It's not like I was being broad before, but for instance, when I would pray for God to open doors for my invention, I would say just that; when perhaps I should be saying, I need Him to put me around the right people that can help me to market my invention. Just a thought.

Habakkuk 2:2-4 Says

God will give you His message in the form of a vision.

You are to Write it clearly enough to be read at a glance.

And At the time that He has decided. His words will come true.

You can trust what He says about your future.

It may take a long time, but keep on waiting--it will happen!

The LORD, refuses to accept anyone who is proud.

Only those who live by faith are acceptable to Him.

Read Hebrews Chapter 11

(New King James Version)

By Faith We Understand

The Honor Roll of the Faithful
1-3 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.

Faith at the Dawn of History
4-7 By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks. By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, "and was not found, because God had taken him";[a] for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. 6But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.

Faithful Abraham
8-12 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God. By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child[b] when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised. Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born as many as the stars of the sky in multitude--innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore.

The Heavenly Hope
13-16 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them,[c] embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For those who say such things declare plainly that they seek a homeland. And truly if they had called to mind that country from which they had come out, they would have had opportunity to return. But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.

The Faith of the Patriarchs
17-22 By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, of whom it was said, "In Isaac your seed shall be called,"[d] concluding that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead, from which he also received him in a figurative sense.

By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come.

By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph, and worshiped, leaning on the top of his staff.

By faith Joseph, when he was dying, made mention of the departure of the children of Israel, and gave instructions concerning his bones.

The Faith of Moses
23-29 By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden three months by his parents, because they saw he was a beautiful child; and they were not afraid of the king's command. By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in[e] Egypt; for he looked to the reward. By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured as seeing Him who is invisible. By faith he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of blood, lest he who destroyed the firstborn should touch them. By faith they passed through the Red Sea as by dry land, whereas the Egyptians, attempting to do so, were drowned.

By Faith They Overcame
30-40 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they were encircled for seven days. By faith the harlot Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe, when she had received the spies with peace. And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and the prophets: who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. Women received their dead raised to life again.

Others were tortured, not accepting deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection. Still others had trial of mockings and scourgings, yes, and of chains and imprisonment. They were stoned, they were sawn in two, were tempted,[f] were slain with the sword. They wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, tormented--of whom the world was not worthy. They wandered in deserts and mountains, in dens and caves of the earth.

And all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise, God having provided something better for us, that they should not be made perfect apart from us.

I Get It!

I was reading a book for my Praise class and there was a section in there that talked about how there are times in everyone's life where you feel God calling you toward Him. The author used the analogy of how birds instinctively know when to fly south for the winter. It's that calling in them that gets them to fly south. As far as humans, our spirit has a call to seek/get closer to God. As I was reading the story, it made so much sense. From what I remember, it was about this time last year that I felt like something needed to speak to my spirit. It was a very small calling... one that I misinterpreted as, "a dead relative or someone on the other side had a message for me." I know, sounds weird, but that's the only way I can describe it. It's just a feeling that you have in your spirit that you can't explain.
“The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.” (Zephaniah 3:17)

Caribbean Medley by Donnie McClurkin

"Caribbean Medley" by Donnie McClurkin-->This song is all of five years old, I've had it in my computer for one year and for some reason, am just discovering the greatness of it. I need to upload it one day.
Bible College
I am supposed to write a paper on "Faith" and turn it in today!!! Arrrgggh. I just couldn't write it, I have been so busy at both work and home!
Tonight we started the class on Praise Life. I'm beginning to learn that the way you put things into words is very important. For instance, if you're singing a song that has the words "Satan, devil, enemy, etc." in it, while you're singing that particular verse or word, you don't look down as if you're really talking to him, because that shows that you acknowledge him, and not only do you acknowledge it, but you are now singing to him, whether it's that verse or just that word, and you always want to sing praises to God. Also, if you're talking to a particular situation for it to change around, you really should be praising God, and that situation will automatically turn around, or while you're praising God, He will give you the strength to turn the situation around. I hope that I am not losing you by lack of examples, so I'll just throw this one there----If you have a son in prison, when you pray, don't pray for the situation that your son is in, but instead you just praise God (with faith) for everything, i.e. for giving you a son, for sending the Holy Ghost to your son and convicting him, for using your son to help change lives of the people that he talks with, for giving you life, for allowing you to see the many years that you have, for the health that He has given you, for the strength to endure the days that you are without your son, for the strength the He has given your son to endure the days/months/years that your son has to be incarcerated, etc. Do you get it?

Disclaimeer: I'm just sharing what I learned in Bible College, don't use my example has sole advice, refer to your bible.

Went to the meeting

So I went to the women's meeting today, and it was run by Muslim women who basically had a unification type meeting. They were meeting on something that they were charged to meet on through the Honorable Louis Farrakhan. It was something about peace amongst our sisters, living as one, and then it seemed to break off into one woman talking about educating our people on AIDS and another testifying about how God is still watching over her and her family (nothing to do with the other lady talking about ADIS). It was different, it got me out the house.

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” (Psalm 139:13,14)

The Worker's Started On My House!

They FINALLY started working on my house today!!!!!

I Called Her
Okay, I forgot to write yesterday. I called CW yesterday and she was happy that I called. She invited me to come hear her speak at a women's conference and said that it's a small conference on Saturday. She was telling me that she never really spoke in publice before and she wanted me to come. I was kind of bewildered and asked her why me? She said that while she was in church she felt the spirit move to give me her number, she didn't know why, but she knew that we were suppose to connect somehow.

So I guess I'll go to the conference and see what's up from there.

Met a Lady at Church

I went to church tonight and sat in the front row (nothing out of the ordinary). During the end of service, the woman who was behind me gave me a piece of paper with her phone number on it and asked me to call her. I don't know her but I'll call her tomorrow.

Happy Mother's Day!

My husband took me and the kids to a seafood restaurant off the coastline for Mother's Day. The first time we had been there was our first Mother's Day three years ago. I enjoyed the time very much, and I must add, my kids are very active in public... at least until the food comes ;)

Here are a few pictures to share of Mother's Day:

Laila took this one. She's a three year old in training to be a photographer.

Laila wants to know if it's time to eat yet!

Here's us after church:

I skipped Bible College tonight because of Mother's Day. Is that a sin? Just kidding. We're allowed one excused absence.

What the heck am I so fearful of?

Yesterday, I was in my God's Generals Class and we did something a little different toward the latter part of the class. Five of the 'well-seasoned' prayer ministers prayed for each of the individuals in class. When they got to me, Ralph asked me if I knew what my giftings were and I told him I didn't. He told me that it is The Gift of Prophecy, but for me not to think of it like "You're going to do this, this is going to happen, etc." He said that it's simply a Word from God, and sometimes, that's all that it might be... just one word. He says the next time God wants me to say "God loves You" to someone, say it, and don't hold back. He says that I bite my lip when God gives me a word for someone and struggle with telling them. He also told me that I need to cast down fear, because that was holding me back from getting out the prophetic word. Another prayer partner said that she saw a waterfall over me, which signified that God was pouring into me, but something was stopping it up. Perhaps, fear? Then another prayer partner told me that she saw something blocking the flow at the bottom of the neck, which could represent a blockage that I can control (or something of the sort) something that needed releasing. Like, fear? She gave me a word to speak more in my prayer language.

What the heck am I so fearful of? Failure?

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of Him.” (1 John 5:14,15)

Jesus Uses Laila To Heal

I can do nothing but smile when I see Laila touching a spot that hurts on her and praying to JC to heal it. Last night she pointed to a bump on my arm and asked what it was, I looked and told her it was a mosquito bite and she said "Let me ask Jesus to heal it mommy." So I stretched out my arm toward her and she placed her hand on it and said, "Dear Jesus, please heal my mommy's mosquito bite on her arm. In Your name, thank you, amen." Then she hopped down from my bed and left me smiling!

I see her on the playground now...helping God to heal all the kids on the playground.

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6)
