Three Days Left!

OMGoodness...three days left before my children have one of the best days ever for 2008! If Christmas was anything like it was last year, they will wake up around 9am! I'm sure though, that the older they get, the earlier and earlier they will wake up. I better enjoy this Christmas sleep-in moment now, while I still can. ;)

Also, I didn't get past four cups of water per day during the weekend. Hopefully I will do better during this week.

I need more water!

To drink more water...that is. The whole day, I can only account for consuming two cups of water.

It's hard to keep up with what I put in my mouth!

With Christmas gatherings and all, it's hard to keep up with what I'm eating. Boy...I'm feeling bigger. Let me get on the scale.

Over Most Of My Sickness

I have been sick since Friday, mostly sore throat, body aches, and a head cold (in that exact order)...and today I am 90% BETTER! It feels phenomenal to be me!

Last night I created my chicken mix to make my famous baked chicken wraps and this morning I made a batch and oh goodness...it is GOOD!

What Do I Eat?

I have to hold myself accountable for what I am eating!

So starting today, I am going to TRY and keep a tab of everything that I place in my mouth beginning with yesterday!

Monday:
1 cup of coffee
1 Banana
1 can of Chicken Noodle Soup (Progresso Light)[try to stay away from any Progresso if your eating soup to be healthy! Comparing it to Select, it's much higher in sodium]
1 Bag of Popcorn
4 cups of Water
1 Huge Bowl of Chicken Noodle Soup (Select Campbell's)-for dinner
2 cups of Orange Juice
1 chocolate covered macadamia nut from Hawaii (thanks Tiffany)

Tuesday (so far):
2 cups of coffee-before 10:15 am
1 Danish-10:30 a.m.
2 cups of water-10:50 am

When Your Enemy Speaks...

Okay, so she's not really an enemy, however, I know that she doesn't like me!

Well she spoke to me this morning at work and I cordially spoke back. I was so surprised that she spoke, I was questioning whether or not she accidentally spoke. Either way...she spoke, so I decided at that very moment that I was going to purposely speak to all the people that I didn't care for as well as all the people that I know didn't care for me.

So that's what happened. I spoke and was nice to those folk at work. See what good choices you can make when your enemy speaks.

Giving Bread...

Literally, I do mean giving bread!

My husband and I both bought a loaf of bread home from the grocery store on the same day. Instead of taking it back to the store for a refund, I asked God who should I give this loaf to at work, and He put a co-workers name in my spirit. So I bagged it up and brought it to work today and just told my co-worker that we had two loaves and here's one for her. She was floored when she looked at it, because it was "Nature's Own Honey Wheat." She said that is the exact brand and kind that her family eats, they don't eat any other kind! She said she was going to call her husband right now to tell her what God has done. She said, "...oh, the little things." And that was such a blessing for me today.

Can I Make a Comeback for '09?

I have slacked off so badly with this blog site, it's not even addressable! To comeback to my blog is like resurrecting the dead. But can it be done? That's the big question that is looming over my head.

If you ever see me, I want you to look hard over the top of my head, and you will notice little question marks there. Some question marks are bigger than others. One of those question marks surely belong to this blogging thing.

For as long as I can remember, I try and I try to keep some type of journal...some type of memoir of some sort to remind myself of the great things that happen in my life, whether perfect or imperfect, whether big or small, whether it's something that I think is insignificant or huge, whether it impacts my life in some form or impacts someone else's life...I think it's important to document it some way.

If I think it's so important though...why, why, oh why...am I not consistent with keeping this darn journal?

Laila Lost Another Tooth

Laila lost her front top tooth today. She's a little sad because she lost it while she was outside playing and it fell out her mouth. She was at her auntie's house because me and hubby are out of town (on our own!).

39 & 47

I was counting money today (all quarters), and as I was counting, when I got to the number 39, I felt like that was going to be a significant number in my life. I kept counting and the same feeling came over me when I got to 47. I felt like the 39 was for me and the 47 was for my husband. So when I was done counting my quarters I stopped to think for a second. (I do that once in a while). The difference between 39 and 47 is 8. Vaughn and I are eight years apart...8 means New Beginning.

37 and 49 also reduces to the number 5, which means MEDIATION, understanding and judgment. The ancients represented the world by the number 5, the explanation being that in 5 are represented the four elements earth, water, fire and air, plus the fifth essence, ether or spirit. Five became the number of humanity with the five developed senses. It is the great senses, after which the sixth sense intuition develops.

The five wounds of Christ symbolize the suffering endured while in the flesh, which leads us to turn to God. In the parable of the five wise and the five foolish virgins (Matthew 25:3), "They that were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them. But the wise took oil in Testament their vessels with their lamps." The oil relates to the anointed, or those who had light. Human beings can choose the light or reject it by their actions. Interestingly, the word oil is a 9-powered word, which means a completed cycle of attainment.

First Week Down!

Okay, so I'm going to try and wrap up my LA Week. Yes, I've completed one whole week here in L.A. and it was absolutely GREAT! Monday and Tuesday I went to downtown LA to the Fashion District to this fabulous wholesale clothing mall. I ended up there because I knew that my favorite t-shirts where sold there. So it just so happens that the building that the t-shirt people were in, there was also a whole bunch of other wholesale dealers as well.

So Tuesday night, I'm on my computer trying to catch up with emails and MB is on MB computer, then midnight hits. I'm writing my last email, and MB has finished up MB computer work so MB then turns off the light on MB side of the room, and blatantly tells me to turn off the light on my side. I'm thinking...there is a better way to communicate with me than to come at me with rude demands.

Man, I'm sleepy already!
