Time to Pray for Someone

Okay, strange thing...I was working a photography event last night, and the people at the event were eating, so my assistant and I were just sitting down talking. Not much talking, just a little conversation here and there, in between a lot of silence. Then, out of no where, I started thinking about something that a young lady did to me that I did not appreciate AT ALL. Not only did I feel that what she did was trifling, but it was so silly and small, that she really could have come to me and apologized about it, but she never did. So anyway, apparently, I'm getting hot about it all over again, so I turn to my assistant and say, "I have to tell you what this young lady did to me..." Now keep in mind, this incident happened about a year ago, lol.

So I tell my assistant the story and never said the young lady's name until the very end of the story. So my assistant looks at me and says, "is her last name xyz?" And I said "yeees, that's her." And she said "oh my goodness, what made you think about that since it happened so long ago." I said "I don't know, it just came across my mind." Then my assistant shares with me that the young lady had been going through some trouble over the past year or so, and lost her job. So then I told my assistant, "oh I get it...I'm supposed to pray for her."

Okay, so I'm stopping the story here to say that this is the pivotal point where I personally understand that "things" just don't cross your mind out of the blue. They are planted there. I believe that God wants me to pray for this young lady. But how can I? She's not going to come up to me and say, "Hey Thais, will you pray for me?" So the next best thing is to find someone who knows her and is familiar enough with her situation to tell me, so that I can know to pray for her. I know, it sounds weird, but that's just how "out-the-box" God is!

That’s my promise,” saith the Lord, “and if you will take it, THE BLESSING will surround you. THE BLESSING will encase you and you will learn to walk in the secret place of the Most High God. I will show you things to come. I will show you things that you’ve never heard of before, and you will take advantage of those things and be financially blessed in all of that. But I’ll tell you, I’ll bring financial blessing on you that you ain’t got any idea where it came from.

And if you will begin to walk in it, and if you will make it a priority in your life, then the Glory will manifest in your midst. And you will give Me praise and I will come and visit you and together we will have a grand time,” saith the Lord. Hallelujah, hallelujah.

“Pastors, ministers of churches, it’s time for the Glory to manifest in and among your congregation. If you will begin to teach it. If you will begin to preach it. If you will begin to reveal it from My Word, I will manifest myself,” saith the Lord, “if you’ll preach and teach on the love of God, and if you will preach and teach on My Glory, I will begin to manifest it in your midst. And you will have glorification manifestation and there’ll be things that will happen that will take you six months to figure out what it was.

It will get so heavy in your congregation from time to time that people in there will not be able to see one another, because of the thickness of the manifestation of the Glory. Some of you are going to have it manifest in your cars, manifest as you travel.” Praise God!

I had a pretty good today today, given the fact that I'm a little sick. One of my nostrils is stopped up and the other one is running, go figure.

Wow! I've been gone for a minute...

So I went to visit a church tonight that the Lord told me to go visit. I've been there a few other times before (they were all sporadic visits). So anyway, last week, the Lord told me to make sure I go tonight. So I went, and right toward the end of service the Bishop calls me up and tells me a whole mouth full of stuff that I can't even remember...but I must say that it was confirmation. I can tell you that he said "the Lord has set me apart." That right there was something that I heard the Lord say to me when I was in Los Angeles last time. I was on the set of I Love New York 2, just waiting around with the others and two things were going through my mind: "I have set you apart," and the song, "How Great is Our God."

So when the Bishop said that tonight, it was confirmation. He said that God gives me dreams and visions, and that I am covered, the Lord was protecting me for Himself, and He is going to use me MIGHTILY! He stressed that part. He continued that the Lord was going to use me to speak to His people, I have been asking God for the right thing to do, the right thing to say, the right way to act, seeking and praying and desiring for Him to use me and He will. I need to be prepared for the next six to eight months for the Lord to use me. Then the Bishop asked another prophet to come speak the words that the Lord has given her, and she stood in front of me and said that my heart is very soft, like cotton, that the Lord needed to use that so I can have a heart for His people. That when they come to me, I will have know what they are feeling and going through because their feelings will be mirrored on me. I was going to speak the word of the Lord, she said that she sees me on my knees crying before God, I will be like Jeremiah, the weeping prophet. Okay, let's stop right there...it's funny she said that because I told God last year that when I feel the prophetic anointing, I feel like vomiting, and I was going to be Thais the vomiting Prophet...ha, ha. Okay, that's not all that funny. Anyway, she goes on to say that I will need training, the Lord wants me to get training so that I will know what to do when it happens.

Bridge to Terabithia

Tonight was the first time that I saw Bridge to Terabithia and I must say...I thought it had a lot of potential. The part that I really had a problem with was that the little girl dies in the movie. What's up with that?

Jeremiah 1:1-10 is a narrative that introduces the call experience of Jeremiah, a man from Anathoth. The elements that are present in the call experience of Jeremiah are also present in the call experience of every minister.

First, a minister is in the ministry because of a direct call from God. The ministry is not a job, it is a vocation, and unless someone is called by God to preach God’s word, that person has no place in the ministry.

The Lord said to Jeremiah: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you” (v. 5). Every pastor has an intimate relationship with God. The word “to know” refers to a special relationship between God and Jeremiah. It was the same word used to describe the relationship between God and Israel. The Lord said to Israel: “You only have I known of all the families of the earth” (Amos 3:2). And when Israel failed God, God lamented that there was no knowledge of God in the land. Thus when God said that he knew Jeremiah, God was emphasizing his personal commitment to Jeremiah.

God knows every person whom he calls into the ministry and the Lord has a personal interest in their ministry. Because God called them and cares for them, he is also committed to their success as ministers.

Second, a minister is set apart for a special work. God said to Jeremiah: “before you were born, I set you apart” (v.5). The expression “to set apart” in Hebrew means “to make it holy.” God sets a person apart for ministry, for special work. In the Bible, anything or anyone who belonged to God was holy, set a part for God’s use.

God also sets apart people and gives them special tasks. All believers are holy people; we are set apart for God’s special use. We, as believers, are set apart from the world to become a special people, a holy people.

Prophets had two very important functions as people called by God. First, a prophet acted as an ambassador for God. God told Jeremiah: “I appointed you as a prophet to the nations” (v.5). One is appointed by God in the same way an ambassador is appointed by the president. Jeremiah was appointed to represent God and to speak on behalf of God to all the nations.

Ministers are God’s ambassadors. Their assignment may not be to a specific nation, but to a specific state, a specific city, or a specific community. Ministers represent God in their community in the same way Jeremiah represented God before Israel and before Babylon.

Second, a prophet acted as a representative of God. The prophet Jeremiah had been “set apart” by God. “Set apart” means “holy.” The prophet was a holy person. God commanded his people: “You shall be holy; for I the Lord your God am holy” (Leviticus 19:2). Because the prophet represents a holy God, the prophet is a holy person who lives a holy life. Not a perfect life, because only God is perfect. A holy life means a life set apart.

That is the only way a minister can be effective in the ministry. Ministers must learn how to live a life that is completely dedicated to God and to his cause. The word “sanctify” is the same word translated to “set apart” or to “make holy.” Because Jesus desired that his disciples would learn how to live a holy life, he had to set himself apart, he had to sanctify himself for his work. Jesus said: “And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth” (John 17:19). Jesus also said: “Sanctify them by the truth: your word is truth” (John 17:17).


It's part of the Word to make spiritual decisions to please God, instead of carnal decisions to please yourself.

The biggest part of growing spiritually is not changing other people, but changing yourself.

L.A. Callz

It's AMAZING how things can change your life in one phone call. My comment is not for the small minded, I am talking to the people that can truly see the depths of what I'm saying. No big deal, but I thought I'd share what I'm thinking...

You can go about your day just as you have done the day before, in your own little world with your one husband, two kids, three doors to your house, four grandparents, and five friends, and one day you get that call...a family member has passed, you tested positive on something, you failed the test, you weren't accepted, you didn't qualify, etc. News like that would crush anyones spirit. And as chain of events go, it would probably ruin the rest of your day, perhaps even the rest of the week, maybe even the rest of your year or so.

But what if every time you got a phone call it was good news...you qualified, you passed, your test came back negative, your family member still passed but left you a substantial amount of inheritance that you weren't expecting. How awesome would that news make the rest of your week? How would it affect your life? Your children's lives?

Well, one day I am going to be waiting on a phone call like that. "Thais, Hi, this is Chris. I saw your presentation and I was blown away with your product. If you'd be interested in meeting me and my staff at XYZ, we would love to meet with you in person. I believe that you have just what we've been looking for!"

I was looking up recipes for ice cream...

and got intrested in wanting to know why salt was used in certain ice cream machines and here is what I found.

How does it do that?

For ice to melt, it has to get heat from something. In our ice cream project, it gets the heat from the ice cream mixture (and from your hands, which is why they get cold while holding the bag). When the ice is melting, it is at 0 degrees Celsius (32 degrees Fahrenheit).

When ice is melting, the surface of the ice is wet. At the surface, there is solid ice on one side, and liquid water on the other. The surface is exactly at the freezing point. This means that some water molecules are leaving the ice and moving into the water, but it also means that some liquid water is refreezing onto the ice. We say that the system is in equilibrium when the rate of melting is equal to the rate of freezing, and this happens at 0 degrees Celsius.

At equilibrium, the heat lost by the water as it freezes is equal to the heat gained by the ice as it melts.

Because plain ice can only barely cool something to the freezing point of water, we will need to do something to make it much colder than that, since our ice cream mixture freezes at a lower temperature than water.

The ice cream freezes because the salt and the ice mix to make a substance with a lower freezing point than ice alone. This means that the ice and salt mixture must get even more heat from somewhere in order to melt.

Salty water freezes at a lower temperature than plain water. But the ice is made of plain water, so it melts at 0 degrees Celsius. Since the ice keeps melting, but the water no longer freezes (because there is only salt water, which doesn't freeze at 0 degrees), the temperature goes down.

The heat gained by the ice as it melts is no longer offset by the heat given up by freezing water (since the water is no longer freezing back onto the ice). The heat gain has to come from somewhere else. It comes from the ice cream and your hands.

The sodium and chlorine in the salt split apart into charged ions, and these ions attract water molecules to form weak chemical bonds.

The resulting compound has a freezing point of -21.1 degrees Celsius (-5.98 degrees Fahrenheit). This is 21.1 degrees colder than ice (37.98 degrees Fahrenheit colder than ice).

When people put salt on the ice on a sidewalk or a road, the ice mixes with the salt, and the mixture of the two solids (ice and salt) produces a liquid, but the sidewalk actually gets colder than it was before.

If we add a different chemical to the ice, such as calcium chloride, we can get an even lower temperature (-29 degrees Celsius, or -20 degrees Fahrenheit).

A Little of My Dream Last Night

Well it was actually my last dream before I woke up at 7 this morning, but I was travelling with three or four other women and there was a scene where we were all in one buling on the same floor but we were bunked co-ed style in these big rooms with personal lockers. I can't remember the exact situation, but bottom line there was a guy that had a problem with one of the girls that was in our group and some other girl from another group and a problem with me, she said I appeared too happy for her, and she thought it was fakeness. Somehow I ended up telling her how I felt about it in front of everyone. Don't worry, I didn't do the neckroll (LOL).

The next scene, all of us women were in a tiny blue, four door Toyota car and I was in the back seat. One girl was talking about getting out because she saw someone she knew walking on the street, but the other girls were trying to explain to her that it was illegal for her to get out at an unauthorized stop. She was arguing that it didn't make sense for her to get out of a car at an authorized stop which would take her further away from her friend (yes, that does makes sense). So while we were talking we had a bag of fried shrimp and fried conch. We saw another person who we all knew, this woman was a midget, and she was holding hands and walking with her man, who was also a midget. So we were saying that we were going to give the food to the couple. Tehn I remember one of the girls saying, "she's not going to eat it, because she doesn't want a conch-butt."

We pulled over and offered the guy the bag, but before I handed it over, I saw that the food was actually fried shrimp and fried crab. So we're handing him the bag and he says, "now you all know that I'm allergic to shellfish, and Thais has been talking about conch this entire trip, why would you give that to me?" Then he looked at us like we were trying to set up him to eat it, so we all laughed and I told him that this was not my idea.

Whatever kind of dream was that? I don't know, but I bet it comes up in reality with completely different people, and I won't be able to remember that I had dreamt it already, so I had to write this down.

I had a strange dream

I had a dream that I had inside knowledge that the FEDS were looking to arrest Ludacris and take all of his possessions. So I went to his house to tell him and he took all of his possessions and whatever he couldn't take, he placed in a bedroom and told me to tell the police that I was renting out the room and those were my things. So I stayed there for a few days, then the FEDS came to arrest him. On the news, it stated that a crime he did ten years ago came up and he was caught, along with the fact that he owed $5,000 in taxes.

Ludacris goes down for $5,000 in taxes? Well I've heard worse.

Sanguine

Sanguine indicates the personality of an individual with the temperament of blood, the season of spring (wet and hot), and the element of air. A person who is sanguine is generally optimistic, cheerful, confident, popular, and fun-loving. He or she can be daydreamy to the point of not accomplishing anything and can be impulsive, possibly acting on whims in an unpredictable fashion. Sanguines usually have a lot of energy, but have a problem finding a way to direct the energy. This also describes the manic phase of a bipolar disorder.

A Sanguine is an extrovert who has a high need to include and be close to others, but unlike the Choleric, the Sanguine genuinely likes being around people just for the sake of socialization. The Sanguine also "swings" between both control and dependency.

Choleric

Choleric corresponds to the fluid of yellow bile, the season of summer (dry and hot), and the element of fire. A person who is choleric is a doer and a leader. They have a lot of ambition, energy and drive, and try to instill it in others, and can dominate people of other temperaments, especially phlegmatic types. Many great charismatic, military and political figures were cholerics. On the negative side, they are easily angered or bad tempered.

In folk medicine, a baby referred to as "colic" is one who cries frequently and seems to be constantly angry. This is an adaptation of "choleric," although no one now would attribute the condition to bile. Similarly, a person described as "bilious" is mean-spirited, suspicious, and angry. This, again, is an adaptation of the old humour theory "choleric."
The disease Cholera gained its name from choler (bile).

A Choleric, however, is an extroverted "leader"-type who, in the area of control, has a high need to control others, but a low tolerance of others controlling him. He also has a high need to include or be close to others, but a low level of "responsiveness" (used as another term for "wanted" behavior) to them. He tends to be a "user", and only relates to people according to his own terms, which are usually goal-oriented.

Melancholic

Melancholic is the personality of an individual characterized by black bile; hence (Greek μελας, melas, "black", + χολη, kholé, "bile"); a person who was a thoughtful ponderer had a melancholic disposition. Often very kind and considerate, melancholics can be highly creative - as in poets and artists - but also can become overly obsessed on the tragedy and cruelty in the world, thus becoming depressed. It also indicates the season of autumn (dry and cold) and the element of earth. A melancholy is also often a perfectionist, being very particular about what they want and how they want it in some cases. This often results in being unsatisfied with one's own artistic or creative works, always pointing out to themselves what could and should be improved.

This temperament describes the depressed phase of a bipolar disorder. There is no bodily fluid corresponding to black bile. However, the medulla of the adrenal glands decomposes very rapidly after death, and it is possible that this product is the mythical "black bile."

A Melancholy tends to be an introverted loner, and in the area of "control" such a person would exhibit a low need to control others, and also have a low tolerance of control by others (i.e. "dependency"). In the areas of inclusion and affection, such people would display a low need to include or be close to others, and a low need to be included by others.

Phlegmatic

A phlegmatic person is calm and unemotional. Phlegmatic means pertaining to phlegm, corresponds to the season of winter (wet and cold), and connotes the element of water.

While phlegmatics are generally self-content and kind, their shy personality can often inhibit enthusiasm in others and make themselves lazy and resistant to change. They are very consistent, relaxed, rational, curious, and observant, making them good administrators and diplomats. Like the sanguine personality, the phlegmatic has many friends. But the phlegmatic is more reliable and compassionate; these characteristics typically make the phlegmatic a more dependable friend.

My Church Visit

I went to visit a church tonight in which I never visited, and OMGoodness, it's one of the places were the Bishop calls you out!
The Bishop said that God told him to pick 17 people tonight, so he called this lady to the front, and while he was talking with her, he looked up at me.

The Bishop, looked over at me and said the young lady in the light pink shirt come up. (So I'm the second person he ministered to) I walked up and when he was finished ministering to the woman in front of him, he walked toward me and siad that God has placed a word in me; doors have been shut for the past year, but God was going to lift the lid right off in the next three days. He said that I have passed the test and the Lord was pleased with me. He said I keep hearing "Teacher, teacher, teacher." God has heard your prayers and He's listening to you.

All the while he's talking to me, I'm looking intensely into his eyes to let him know that I am paying attention to his words. Anyway, he places oil on my hands and forehead and prays for me. I don't remember what he says, but I know it was all good stuff. LORD, PLEASE INCREASE MY MEMORY!

My thoughts: Teacher is the gifting that is on my life. I LOVE to teach, but it's in a more different way than most teachers out there. I teach by breaking things down. I lke things broken down so that you get the understanding and the application.

Anyway: There was a guy there tonight that had some kind of demons that were trying to have him commit suicide, and I guess they were casted out of him, but as the Bishop was standing in front of him and talking directly to him, the boy started shaking, it almost looked like his was about to have a convulsion. Then the Bishop slapped him on the forehead after telling the demons to come out of Him in the name of Jesus, and the boy fell to the floor, and people gathered around praying for him.

Oh, so later, he's walking around the church ministering to people and walks past me and hands me his face towel and tells me to never wash it. OK, so immediately I think, I gotta place this in a frame or something, or it's gonna get washed. Then at the end of the night, about 30 more minutes later he's handing out about nine or ten vials of annointing oil and I get one of them. At least I felt special for the moment. Now, where do I keep the oil?

Biblical Numerology

It seems quite obvious that the Bible uses numbers in patterns. Who can deny that 40 is significant. Jesus was in the desert for 40 days and the Israelites wandered in the desert for 40 years. Whether or not the analysis of these number patterns are accurate is up for debate. But I present to you this information condensed from the book, Number in Scripture by Bullinger.
One of the interesting features of Hebrew and Greek is that in both written languages there are no numeric characters. Where we have numbers and letters, they have only letters. So, in each language, the letters are also used as numbers. In a small way we do the same thing in English. For example is "O" a zero or a letter of in the alphabet. Is "l" a one or a small L? When they are used, the context tells us which is which and we have no problem understanding it. The same goes for Hebrew and Greek. They knew when they were writing numbers and when they were writing letters.
But the interesting thing is that when a word is written, it also has a numeric equivalent. For example, the word "Jesus" in Greek is "iasous." Since each letter has a numeric equivalent, we can add up each number and get a value. The value is the gammatria. Therefore, the gammatria of "Jesus" in Greek is 888 because i = 10 a = 8 s = 200 o = 70 u = 400 s = 200. There are many interesting 'games' that can be played with this feature of Greek and Hebrew and much of it is absurd. But, some of the numeric relationships are interesting.
Whether not the numbers really do have a significance is still debated in many circles. Nevertheless, I present the information for your examination.

1 THE NUMBER OF UNITY. Father. Deuteronomy 6:4 "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Ephesians 4:5 "one Lord, one faith, one baptism."
2 THE NUMBER OF DIVISION. The Son who has two natures: human and divine. There are 2 Testaments: the Old and New. Man is Male and Female. Rom. 9 speaks of two vessels: one for honorable use and the other for dishonorable use. Two types of people: Sheep and Goats. There are two ages, this age and the age to come: Matt. 12:32; 13:39,40,49; Mark 10:30.
3 THE NUMBER OF DIVINE PERFECTION. The Trinity consists of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. There are three qualities of the universe: Time, Space, and Matter. To exist (except for God), all three are required. Each quality consists of three elements. Therefore, we live in a trinity of trinities.

Regarding the Tabernacle:
The Holy of Holies was a cube (10 cubits x 10 cubits x 10 cubits)

4 THE NUMBER OF CREATION - North, South, East, West; 4 Seasons. The 4th commandment is the first that refers to the earth. The 4th clause of the Lord's Prayer is the first that mentions the earth. The materials of the tabernacle were four and so were the coverings and the ornamentations.
5 THE NUMBER OF GRACE. Redemption. Israel came out of Egypt 5 in rank (Ex 13:18). David picked up 5 smooth stone to fight Goliath (1 Sam. 17:40). The Holy Anointing Oil was pure and composed of 5 parts (Ex. 30:23-25).
6 THE NUMBER OF MAN: Man was created on the 6th day. Man labors 6 days only. The Serpent was created on the 6th day. The 6th commandment is "Thou shalt not murder." Six words are used for man: Adam, ish, Enosh, gehver, anthropos, anar. Also, 6 x 6 = 36. 36 + 35 + 34 + 33 + 32 . . . 5 + 4 + 3 + 2 + 1 = 666. 666 is the number of the antichrist. This means that the name of the antichrist in Greek adds up to 666. This is a mockery of the Trinity.
7 THE NUMBER OF SPIRITUAL PERFECTION. Seven days in a week. Seven colors in the spectrum. Seven of the 10 commandments begin with the word "not." There are 7 seals, 7 trumpets, 7 parables in Matthew, and 7 promises to the churches. There are 7 "eternals" in Hebrews which are: A priest for ever (1:6); Eternal salvation (1:9); Eternal judgment (6:2); eternal redemption (9:12); eternal spirit (9:14); eternal inheritance (9:15); and everlasting covenant (13:20). Jesus said 7 things on the cross: 1) Luke 23:34 "Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." And they divided up his clothes by casting lots; 2) Luke 23:43 Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise"; 3) Matthew 27:46 About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?" -- which means, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"; 4) John 19:26 "When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, "Dear woman, here is your son"; 5) John 19:28 "Later, knowing that all was now completed, and so that the Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, "I am thirsty." 6) John 19:30 "When he had received the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit"; and 7) Luke 23:46 "Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit." When he had said this, he breathed his last." "Hallelujah" occurs 28 times or 4 x 7. "Hosanna" occurs 7 times. "Milk" occurs 49 times or 7 x 7. "Abaddon" occurs 7 times. "After the order of Melchizedek" occurs 7 times.
8 THE NUMBER OF NEW BEGINNINGS. 8 people on Noah's Ark (2 Pet. 2:5); circumcision on 8th day (Gen. 17:12); God made 8 covenants with Abraham
9 THE NUMBER OF JUDGMENT. There are 9 greek words derived from the root word meaning judgment = dikay. The following words each occur 9 times in the Bible: abussos (bottomless pit); asebee (ungodly); aselgeia (lasciviousness); and astrapee (lightning). The gifts of the spirit are 9 in number (1 Cor. 12:8-10): the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, tongues, and interpretation of tongues.
10 THE NUMBER OF DIVINE PERFECTION. There are 10 commandments (Ex. 20); 1/10 of your income is a tithe; the were 10 plagues on Egypt (Ex. 9:14ff); 10 x 10 silver sockets formed the foundation of the Tabernacle (Ex 38:27); There are 10 "I AM's spoken by Jesus in John: 1) I am the Bread of Life (6:35); 2) I am the Bread of Life which came down from heaven (6:41); 3) I am the Living Bread (6:51); 4) I am the Light of the world (8:12); 5) I am One that bears witness of Myself (8:18); 6) I am the Door of the sheep (10:7,9); 7) I am the Good Shepherd (10:14); 8) I am the Resurrection and the Life (14:6); 9) I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life (11:25); and 10) I am the True Vine (15:1,5).
12 THE NUMBER OF GOVERNMENTAL PERFECTION. There were 12 tribes of Israel; 12 Apostles, 12 foundations in the heavenly Jerusalem; 12 gates; 12 pearls; 12 angels. The measurements of New Jerusalem are 12,000 furlongs or stadia, while the wall will be 144 (12 x 12) cubits (Rev. 21:16-17).
40 THE NUMBER OF PROBATION OR TRIAL. The Israelites wandered for 40 years (Deut. 8:2-5). Moses was on the mount for 40 days (Exodus 24:18); 40 days of Jonah and Nineveh (Jonah 3:4). Jesus was tempted for 40 days (Matt. 4:2).
153 In John 21:11, after the resurrection the disciples caught 153 fish. The word fish in Greek is 'ixthus' which has a numerical equivalent of 1224, or 8 x 153. Remember, which is Jesus Christ is 888. 153 people received a blessing from Jesus in the four gospel (not counting the 5000 and examples like that).

So we start our day...we are walking to catch the train, I say, we better move back from the street, I just don't see trusting these drivers like this. Just then a huge semi drives up on the curb towards us. It stops over 50 feet back, but it was just funny that it happened right after I made the comment.

I haven't been home all day for my birthday! I've been running errands, taking care of business, I went to get my hair done, I went to church, etc. After everything was said and done, my family bought me a Carvel ice cream cake and sang to me...yeah! I enjoyed my day so very much with my children, my husband, and my friends!!! Thank you all for a great day.

Several weeks ago, my friend and I went to have lunch at a Chinese restaurant and we were travelling with a huge jar of coins, so we decided out of fun that we would pay for our $12 meal from it. Here's the proof. Thanks to the lady in the restaurant who had a camera and was getting a good laugh from it all.

Dad's Visit

Last weekend Dad came to visit. That was very nice of him, we enjoy his visits everytime he comes. I had the pleasure of keeping my friend's children (a 3 year-old boy "R" and a 6 year-old girl "M"). Dad was playing pillow-fight with my kids and you can tell that R & M had never (or hardly ever) pillow-fought before, because M was standing off to the side watching and R tried to join in, only to find him crying less than a minute later. So I sat him on my lap while he watched the kids and dad play and I asked him if he wanted to play on the computer. He said, "No, I want to play with him," pointing at dad. So of course, he got out my lap like a big boy and stuck with the pillow-fighting game!

Bad Ram!

OK, I'm not a real tech-geek, but I had to do some research to find out [begin to yell] why my laptop wouldn't keep an application open for more than 5 seconds.[calming down] I couldn't surf the web, I couldn't check my emails, I couldn't work on any pictures, you name it, and I couldn't do it, and I miss my blog too, I know you've noticed since the year started I haven't had many real journals...since I've missed my blog so much, maybe, just perhaps, I will start blogging again. Besides, I know my mother must be bored, I just gotta give her something to read.

Anyway, I cut just about six inches of my hair off...yikes. Yeah well, I needed a change and in the next week or two, I'm going to change the color too! I figure...I better do this now before I turn 50, because I told myself when I'm 50 I plan on going natural and adding a strong desire to go dred.

Yesterday I had a few friends over, which was business-lunch that appeared like a cookout, then the ladies left the kids and went to look at some Harley-Davidson's. Here are two pics that I took with my phone:




Oh so back to the headline...I discovered I had bad ram in my computer...it's replaced and everything is fine, at least with my computer it is.

Happy Birthday Katina

This evening I took the kids to Pastor Katina's house to help her and her family celebrate her birthday. I cooked my favorite chicken salad sandwich poppers and they sure were good! It was nice to be somewhere different and cooking for all the people there.

I was just sitting on the couch thinking how they are always inviting people over to their house for something, meanwhile, I feel like my house is not quite clean enough for company. Well, neither was their's, but they had people over anyway. Just an eye-opener.

Back From Los Angeles!

It took three days to get back home, but I'm here! It's AMAZING how I spent three days at two different airports and I still have my sanity!

So....how did it go? Well, first impression is that it represents a well-organized cattle-call. My brother came with me, which made the waiting and the anxiousness more bearable (Thank you Ez). After waiting in a long line, you go into a make-shift room where you watch a video on what to expect during your presentation...you're not allowed to make conversation with them to see what they think about your product, because they can't give feedback; you're not allowed to ask them any questions, you know, feeling them out, blah, blah, blah. So after that, we are moved to wait in another line to make sure our paperwork has been properly filled out and turned in, and then we move to our last line before we are instructed to go to a table for our setup. It was neat, looking around at all the inventions and products people were pitching to QVC. I seen some extreme marketing techniques for a not so extreme product and well...some really good marketing for something that is just a simple private label product.

One of the big questions that QVC wants to know is, "How does your product solve a problem?" I didn't have difficulty answering that one, but as I looked around, a lot of people didn't have problem-solvers, they just had a line of hats, glasses, make-up, socks, etc. So do I have an enge on those people? Humm, whatever!

I left pretty confident that they weren't going to be calling me to be on QVC, but knowing that one day I will be on there with Patches. Okay, I'm not being hard on myself, I'm being "Realistic!" I'm definitely am not one of those people with false expectations, so hear me out. QVC says it without saying it, that they are looking for people who have done 85% of the work already, which includes having a massive amount of product in storage, ready to go! I...do not. I am still in the "looking for a manufacturer's stage." Actually, I'm going to New York in June to meet with a few! Please pray that God shows me the right company to do my business with.

What Am I Doing Now?

I'm sitting at the North Carolina Airport watching what appears to be very busy people walking to and for. Some people have cell phones to their ear, some have the bluetooth earpiece in which they look like their talking to themselves, some people are just sitting down making conversation with either a loved one or stangers, there are some that are sitting solo and are saying nothing, but thinking a lot; there are even some like me that have found a spot to charge up our electronics and plant our butts on the floor to put in time with our laptops.

It's funny, but I really feel in my spirit I am doing the right thing, and going the right places. I feel that I am truly walking by faith and trusting God...FINALLY!

Whether something comes out of this (this year) or not, I still feel like I'm on the right path!

Okay...good news! I found someone that can finish my comforter! Wanna hear the God part??? My project is called "Patches" and it's also the name of her (VM) dog. It's also cool because while I was explaining the project to her, she said she had to do it, because the Lord told her to! It's always wonderful to meet a Christian! I'm placing all my trust in the Lord on this project, and He said He would provide for me, so I'm letting Him guide me!

Today I Accomplished...

Absolutely Nothing!

I felt very frustrated today.

I had a good day up until I came home at 3:45 to take a nap! I laid my head on the pillow and I was out in less than two minutes. Ten minutes later all hell broke loose through the communication lines. I promise you that my cell phone and house phone never rang all day, except for the time I attempted to take a nap. My husband called four times in a 15-minute span, my home phone was ringing like people knew I was home. I could not believe it! I finally put my cell phone on silent, but didn't bother with the house phone because it takes too many steps to put it on silent when your trying to catch every second of sleep. My alarm clock went off at 4:45 for me to pick up my children from school and guess what I did...turned off the alarm. Guess what time I woke back up? 5:20! Guess what time one of my children is supposed to be picked up from school? 5:30. Guess how long it takes me to get to the school? 20 minutes. Guess how long it takes me to get to the school in 5 o'clock traffic? 30 minutes! Arrrggggh!

Once I picked up the kids, fed everybody, and actually got to church I felt better.

Today I Accomplished...

Washing ALL the dishes in the sink from the day! I usually am in the habit of breaking up my dish-washing in 5-minute increments, or between television commercials, BUT TONIGHT... I spent a solid 30 minutes washing the dishes until the last spoon was cleaned!

I also COMPLETELY cleaned my dining room table. I can hardly ever keep a clean dining room table, it always gets cluttered with mail and junk mail alike...and with kids, now I pile all their artwork from school on it too. I did a Clean Sweep on my table and even bought a new centerpiece with plastic fruit. I know, I know, it's sooo cheesy, but I can live with it for the next few years, at least until I buy a new dining room table.

Amazing Blessing!

I went to church today, still on a high from registering to make a presentation in front of QVC with my product. The first person that asked me how I was doing after church was a wonderful person (JL). Whenever we talk, it's always Godly and full of the Spirit. So I told her my plans and what I was trying to accomplish, and that I was nervous, but needed prayer because it's easy to be discouraged. I shared with her that I needed to somehow raise $500 for my trip to LA and she said that she will not only pray for me but will also sow a $250 seed into the kingdom and what I was doing. Ohhhh My God! I told her I was going to cry I was so excited that the Lord touched her that way!!! How awesome is that? I still need to work hard to raise the rest of the money, because when I tell you that I have ZERO dollars dedicated to this trip...I have ZERO dollars! I still owe my patent attorney money!!!! Arggggh.

I am a true believer that God will bless whatever we put our hands to, we just need to be obedient and do what He asks us to do!!!

Gave Sonic Employees A Laugh

So I've had a really long afternoon of shooting and decided to reward myself with a shake. So while I'm driving, I look over, and discover that I have a coupon for a buy one get one free milkshake. I pick up the sheet of coupons and see that they have an entire meal which includes a milkshake for $5.99. I get up to the drive-thru ordering thingy and place my order, "I'd like your $5.99 coupon special with the Steak and Shake Dinner Meal," the lady says, I'm sorry, can you repeat that, "Yes, I'd like the $5.99 coupon special with the Steak and Shake Dinner Meal, the one that comes with the milkshake." Ah ma'am, can you come to the window please so I can see the coupon? I drive to the window, and all the employees are looking at me, the lady gets my coupon and says, "this says Steak-N-Shake," I said, "I know, that's what I said, a steak-n-shake meal." Ma'am this is Sonic!

Crap, I can't believe this! I'm so sorry, I had a long day, and all I want is a milkshake, can I have one of yours?

I understand your policy pertaining to unsolicited ideas, however, I do believe this would fall under the "How Are We Doin’" section. My children are three and five years old and are constantly loving to be surrounded by new things and new ideas. As their mother, I encourage their educational growth. When I take them to McDonald's, I am disappointed when I get their Happy Meals only to see ANOTHER toy! I find myself going to Sonic SPECIFICALLY for children's meals because they encourage learning by giving educational materials like, sign language flash cards, cd's that teach the listener to speak different languages, children’s books, etc. EVEN THOUGH McDonald's food tastes BETTER, Sonic supercedes in what parents like their children to be rewarded with! I, as many mothers and certainly fathers, would LOVE to see McDonald's step up to the plate to promote education and brain stimulation, just as you already are promoting physical activity. PLEASE find more challenging and educational ways to promote McDonald's movie sponsors better than just giving ANOTHER TOY.

Out Of Town!

I don't care for going out of town, especially when I have to travel 2.5 hours by car to get to an airport!!! I LOVE the Home-Life. As long as I have the Internet to communicate, I'm fine!

I went to the store before I left and bought both my babies some Skittles in a heart case and wrote them love notes on pink paper and cut it out like the shape of a heart. I taped the note to the candy and placed them on both their pillows, so they'll see it when they get home. Awww. I'm going to miss my little rug-rats.
