“But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives” (2 Peter 3:10-11)

Gash In The Van >> Oh No!

Okay, yesterday when they dropped the van off, I slightly noticed a few black marks on the front bumper. I thought it was leaves and bugs... until this morning, upon closer inspection. It's a gash! Oh Lord... I called the inventory manager, and the local middleman here and left messages on both their voice mails. I also called the guy (Mr. Tim Hardy) who helped deliver the vehilcle and explained to him that I don't believe it came from them driving it to me, I believe it came from when they unloaded it off the truck. He assured me that they would take care of it and to call them in the morning. He is such a sweet guy. Good people definitely know good people.

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.” (Colossians 3:16)

God Is Good!

My Minivan has arrived! Ain't God Good! Yes, He is!

There were two guys that drove it to me, one of them (Tim Hardy) was very nice. He's about 65 or so, and when we were talking, he said that I was a genuinely good person, and he didn't meet a lot of good people in his business. He said he sold cars for over 35 years, and now he was just helping to deliver them. Of course I thanked him for the compliment, but was astonished at the same time. He said that most people get the keys and do things short of shooing them off. I can't believe that people would be so rude and mean acting... I've only been talking with him for about 10 minutes before he made the compliment. Can't mean people put on a front for 10 minutes to at least make people like Mr. Hardy think that there are more good people on this earth?! Whatever.

He asked what I was going to do with the Honda, and I told him that I was going to donate it to my church. He smiled and said that God was going to give me huge blessings and that I was one in a million! Now, that made me feel good!

“Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe,” (Hebrews 12:28)

5 :30 am >> On My Way To Best Buy

11 am >> I'm back. Best Buy's checkout line was wrapped around the entire store! Luckily, it went fast, so it was only a 20 minute wait. I only bought three DVD's: The Wiz (replacing the one my son threw in the trash), Honey (I never seen it or heard how good or bad it was), and Minority Report. Not bad for $3.99 each, huh? They were out of Shark Tales, but my kids aunt said she got it for them at Wal-mart for $3.44. Good deal!!! Is it really worth standing in line for 20 minutes of your time? Is it really worth driving from one store to the next, fighting traffic? Is it really worth getting up at 4 and 5 in the morning? I don't know... is your time, money?

“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” (Colossians 3:17)

Be Thankful!

“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” (Colossians 2:6-7)

Fraggle Rock is on my Amazon Wish List

Hello,
Remember Wish Lists? As kids, we sweated bullets over filling our lists with stuff we might actually have some hope of receiving, and stuff our friends and family would never buy us. Well, I was visiting the Amazon.com site, and started my own Wish List. Check it out and let me know what you think!

Best Wishes,

Waiting For The Family Van
The guy with Toyota said that the van should be here Tuesday or Wednesday. Well today is Wednesday, and I won't know if it'll be here today until 4 pm or so. Should I still get in it and go home for Thanksgiving? We'll see how it works out.

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.” (Psalm 100:4-5)

Knowing When Your Purse Is Going To Be Stolen!

The dynamics of knowing that your purse is about to get stolen:

Tuesday - Met a lady nice woman named Tysha (in my sign language class), she was sharing her identity theft stories with me. Not sure how we got on the subject.
Wednesday - Had a conversation with my mother about my her turning in a lost purse. (don't quite remember how we got on that subject).
Friday - I called my credit card company to inquire about blank checks they have been sending me. He tries to sell me additional insurance on my credit card, says I won't regret it.
Saturday - Accidentally leave doors unlock in car with purse very visible on front passenger's seat. Everything's okay though.
Sunday Day - In service and being that I sit on the front row, I'm very susceptible to many things coming from the Pastor. I wasn't quite prepared for the pop in the face while he was talking. (Yeah, picture that). Anyway, he was talking about giving and I was putting my purse down from getting money out of it and he apologizes and hands me the purse (thinking I was bending over to get it). Anyway, that's besides the point... it's the fact that the purse played a role.
Sunday Night - Purse stolen as a result of car being broke into.

Crazy.

I prayed that God would bless the people that broke into my car. I prayed that whatever addictions they may have, whether it's a drug addiction or just a thieving addiction, I prayed that God will see them through it and let them know that their life is better than what they're doing.

“I always thank God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. For in him you have been enriched in every way—in all your speaking and in all your knowledge—” (1 Corinthians 1:4-5)

Got My Purse Stolen Today!

Raining.
Parked at Church.
Under Parking Light.
Car Locked.
Purse COVERED with a jacket, behind passenger's seat.
1.5 hours later.
Notice Glove Compartment OPEN.
Feel for purse.
MISSING.
Notice ALL CHANGE GONE in car.
Call Police.
WAIT 2.5 hours.
Make statement.
Feeling VERY violated!!!!
Very THANKFUL they didn't break glass to get into my car, OR take the car for that matter.
They popped the glass off the track with a flathead screwdriver.
Had the car 11 years, never broken in to, until today.

I'm learning that banks aren't that friendly when it comes to reporting stolen cards and checks on a Sunday evening.

“Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.” (Psalm 95:1-2)

Long Day, Short Week

It's been a long day at work, but I made it through. It was my half day, but with all the work I have... I made sure it was a very full day!

Neighbor's Are Getting Same Vehicle!

Did I tell you that my neighbor's are getting the same vehicle that we're getting? I thought I did, but maybe not. Well there's is supposed to come in on Monday and ours is supposed to come in on Thanksgiving week.

“For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.” (Colossians 1:9)

Life Is Only For A Moment!

My mother's birthday is coming up and while I was praying for her, the thought came, "Life is only for a moment. It's time to stop doing things for yourself, and start doing things for the Lord."

“Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—comes not from the Father but from the world.” (1 John 2:15-16)

“God's voice thunders in marvelous ways; he does great things beyond our understanding. He says to the snow, 'Fall on the earth,' and to the rain shower, 'Be a mighty downpour.” (Job 37:5-6

“Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.” (Isaiah 1:18)

APAREY

I went on a field trip to the fair with Laila and her school this morning, and I'll sum it up to say... I won't be going again until they put the small kids on rides! I'm sure that won't be happening any time soon. Can you imagine the problems they would have with kids being scared and vomiting on rides. Okay, so that was a little gross.... but it was the truth! So instead of what I thought (rides, rides, and more rides), it turned out to be watching dancing pigs and racing hogs! What in the world.

So this morning, I'm cleaning my room and I see drawings from Laila the night before. She shows me five sheets of paper, all with different drawings. One-SpongeBob & Patrick (with her name and her brother's name written on it), one with four people on it (she said this is her family), one with six people on there (she said those were her cousins), and one with a strange shawdowy-type figure (it looks like someone leaning on a street light or something) with the word "APAREY" written at the top. I asked her what is was, and just as strange as the word was on the top, a strange word came out her mouth. It sounded very much like she was making up the word to explain what this drawing was. So anyway, curious, I get on the Internet and type in the word. It means "others" when you're talking about spirits.

Haven't Been Writing Like I Should!

I haven't been writing like I should. And that means, the purpose of this journal is being defeated. Full-time Work. Kids. No excuses. Get behind me Satan.

“I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,” (Ephesians 1:18)
