Seminary School Test Today!
I took my monthly test at Seminary school today. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be; not to say it was all that easy either. I also turned in my paper on "Believing Jesus Christ." I'll let you know what I get.
Laila has a black history program tomorrow. Her part is Althea Gibson. We have been practicing with her for two weeks, and she has done EXCELLENT! Good luck baby girl!

Hurray for F R I D A Y!
I met up with Tony & Clay today for what as supposed to be a brainstorming session at the new church for things that we thought would be good to shoot on video. Well, it turned out to be, "We're not going to shoot this to show in the church, we're just going to use it for ourselves." That turned into, "We may use just the good stuff, the rest we'll leave out." That turned into, "We may use this to show in the church." That turned into, "I may have to put some of this stuff on air." I felt like I stumbled over many parts, but hopefully they'll work it out to where you can't tell. I told them to give me a few consecutive weeks and we'll have it down like clockwork. After shooting some video, we went to the production room and voiced a couple of commercials. Now see... this is what I'm supposed to be doing.
Here we are taking a picture of ourselves. I have labeled us the "Tech Geeks" because we all have a love and passion for the technical side of television.
The Worth Of Our Lives
Always remember. Regardless of the shape you are in, your worth in the eyes of those who love you will never diminish.
A well-known speaker started his seminar by holding up a $20 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this $20 bill?" Hands started going up. He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this."
He proceeded to crumple the dollar bill up. He then asked, "Who still wants it?" Still the hands were up in the air.
Well, he replied what if I do this? And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it with his shoe. He picked up the now crumpled bill and dirty. "Now who still wants it?"
Still the hands went up into the air. "My friends, you have all learned a valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, it did not decrease its value. It was still worth $20."
But no matter what happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value. Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely crushed, you are still priceless to those who love you.

Feel Good Thursday
How can I start this off... hummm.
It was only two months ago that our house just randomly got ran into and now someone tries to break into our house. Well they actually succeeded, but the alarm scared them away. I distinctly remember praying this morning, asking God to protect our house and our vehicles today, while keeping the entire family protected as we went our separate ways. I asked that His angels be dispatched on every corner of our house while we were home and away.
Well I was called home by our alarm company about 2:45 p.m. and when I walked up to my door, guess what? The sheriff opens the door for me! Not good! That obviously means that there was a way made into our house. He said that they broke in the back door, but they never made it inside because of the alarm (thank God).
My whole take on this? I believe that this is a spiritual war! My husband and I are closer to God than we have ever been, and we are headed for a HUGE success in the Lord and I KNOW... I know the enemy is going to try to do whatever he can to shake our faith. Well devil... that was weak.
This is what else I believe... I believe that the closer your walk is with Christ, the more you will be challenged in things and the more the enemy is going to try you. I think of it like this...it's like playing football, and the guy with the ball (the quarterback) goes against all these odds, and all the devil's attackers... well along the way to get to the things of Christ, the enemy will try to tackle you by certain situations, and perhaps even certain people to get you down and to keep you from God; but you just keep running and holding on to the Word of God (the football) and you don't look back, because He has His angels working with Him and they are on your team taking the hits and blocking the enemy.
I originally named this entry "Feel Good Thursday" because I woke up at 5:10 a.m., prayed for about 22 minutes and FELT GOOD. So when I got on my computer at about 6 this morning, I created that entry title. Then as the day progressed after the incident, I was thinking... maybe I should change the title. But why? I still feel good :) because the feeling was never created from the physical, so why should I allow the physical to determine what I should rename today's title? Whatever. Good night, I'm exhausted.
“For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD , "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:11-13)

Celebrating Black Inventors (Part T & V)
After listening to my pastor in seminary school last night, I prayed this morning that I continue to walk in the Holy Spirit today, if I am approached in a way that is ungodly, my flesh shuts down and I allow the Holy Spirit to take over. I also prayed that I am more aware of demonic spirits and that they STAY AWAY! It's interesting how movies portray people being possessed by demonic spirits, and we believe that things like that can happen; but it's hard to believe in the Holy Spirit. Are there any movies that portray the Holy Spirit taking over people and doing good on the earth? Just a thought.

I had another dream: this one was that I was in church hearing one testimony after another, and there was one particular testimony that I heard and really started praising God about, then before I knew it, I was on the pulpit and the congregation was collecting an offering for me. Celebrating Black Inventors (Part O&P)
I had a wonderful experience this morning during prayer... pretty hard to explain, but I'll try. As I was praying, I got quiet and still. I heard God in my spirit tell me that He will use a light to show me who He wants me to pray for. Nothing like this have I experienced in a long while, and that was in 1992 during Hurricane Andrew. That same light that saved our house was the light that I saw this morning (13 years later). Anyway, Pastor had a meeting with about 60 of us and said that he wants us to take leadership roles in the church and we are going to be prayer ministers. We will be the ones that pray for people in the church during praise and worship. And I think what God was showing me was a bunch of people standing at the alter for prayer and He was showing me people who He was going to heal through me.

Feeling pretty good today. Just a feeling of 'my just over brokeness (JOB) ain't gonna last always.' I won't necessarily say that "I'm broke." I'll just say that living the daily hustle and bustle will come to a screeching halt one day. The Lord is going to take me from level 2 to level 8! He's gonna skip me right over levels 3-7! Whew... can't wait! It's going to be blissful. Keep up the faith folks, 'cause if it can happen to me, it can happen to you! Celebrating Black Inventors (Part M)
Had lunch with Pastor. He is surely a great man with a greater vision (by the goodness of God, of course). I feel blessed to have him as a pastor. He was sharing some things with me and the hubby on stuff he is going to do with the church and all that exciting and inspiring stuff. Too much to even type! I can say that he still would like to use me to do the news next month and perhaps be the marketing person (not till September on that though). Just know, that when I'm called, I will answer!
Went out to dinner with N & J. We exchanged conversations and situations and left pretty darn happy! A good set of friends can help to extend your life!

I don't like working for commission and then when I make decent money, the people want to throw monkey wrenches in the middle. It's unfair and unprofessional, I work better with people who stick to their word! What is really going on, we're BOTH making money! Making That Move!
Wow! Hubby and I were in church (sitting on the first pew) and at the end of service Pastor had an alter call and I'll be darn, he called us down to pray for anyone who needed prayer. He also called about 10 other couples too, but I'm not talking about them, I'm talking about us! What? We've never done that before, I sure hope God told him that we were ready, because I couldn't even answer if we were ready or not. I also know that we're not going to gain any experience if we don't step out on faith. So of course, I was standing up there praying that God uses me to help His people in need. We had prayer requests for bill-paying, a new job, parents being open to interracial relationships, and even parents being open to dating of a different religion. I definitely sealed my thoughts on whether I feel sentiment for other people. One person came up to us crying, and without either of us saying a word, I hugged her and had just as many crocodile tears coming out of my eyes as she did hers. I can recall doing that same thing about four years ago, and actually feeling this person was going to kill herself. Whew... that's for another day. Anyway, this is surely something we've never done before, but we did a great job. We're going to meet with Pastor on Friday, hopefully he'll tell us more about his plans in using us. I spoke with Hubby about it, and he's definitely into going where God wants him to go.
